Motion JPEG Player is a handy application that allows you to save the images of IP cameras to your local hard drive. It comes packed with a simple interface, has no installation, does not require any registry updates and does not affect the performance of the computer.
The most significant drawback is that Motion JPEG Player does not save the images to a JPG format. You need to save them to a BMP format, and that requires significant computing power. This is a problem for many users, since they don’t have large hard drives.
There are many IP cameras available for free that can be configured with Motion JPEG Player. The major IP camera manufacturers usually ship their camera with a driver package that allows you to set up a camera in Motion JPEG Player with just a few mouse clicks.
