Adobe Photoshop 2021 (Version 22.2) For Windows

Photoshop CS3 includes a Windows version of Photoshop Elements, a stripped-down version of Photoshop for beginners.

Adobe gives you full access to your image data with Photoshop. Your image data resides in the file’s raw form, and you may perform direct changes to the data or create a new image from scratch. The raw form keeps your image as close to its original, unedited state as possible. You may then view and select regions of the original image to highlight or delete. You may even combine multiple images into one image.

You may use Photoshop to

* Manipulate and enhance photos, from adding special effects, colors, and graphic elements to cleaning up and retouching your photos.

* Make selections from an image and then copy or paste the selected image regions to a new canvas.

* Combine images into a single new image, just like a page in a book.

* Add special effects, such as glowing images or simulated gradients

* Create a texture map, which is a special pattern or overlay that you use to create a surface or gradient in your 3D images

How to calculate the win probability of a team?

I’m trying to calculate the win probability of a team. I get the following error:

ValueError: The truth value of a Series is ambiguous. Use a.empty, a.bool(), a.item(), a.any() or a.all().

import pandas as pd
import numpy as np
import math

df=pd.DataFrame(np.random.randint(100, size=(100, 2)), columns=list(‘AB’))

for x in df.index:
a=round(2*math.sqrt((df.loc[x, ‘A’]/df.loc[x, ‘B’]).sum()),3)
b=round(2*math.sqrt((df.loc[x, ‘B’]/df.loc[x, ‘A’]).sum()),3)
prob = np.where(a>b, a, b)
print(df.loc[x, ‘Probability’])

My vector a should produce a number between 0 and 1. It’s supposed to be the probability that team A gets a higher score than team B. I get an error at the line prob = np.where(a>b, a, b).
I’m not sure how to deal with this problem. I get the same error for different values of b.

So you’re using np.where() for setting a and b to values based on whether the value of a is more than b. However, the condition you’re using to select the values, a>b is always going to be true when a and b are equal, so you’re trying to set both of them to that value.
The solution is a little different: you use np.where() to set a and b to values based on whether the series value is less than or greater than the other. Since you’re using the arithmetic mean, the probability is just the inverse of that value. The below works. It’s messy because I can’t test it in ipython, but I believe it should be correct.
import pandas as pd
import numpy as np
import math

Survey Participants and Favorability of a Controversial Climate Model

The figure on the right shows the response to the question „Do you agree or disagree with these statements about global warming?” I’ve had a lot of comments and e-mail noting that the percentage of those saying „strongly agree” has gone down, but you can see that it hasn’t changed much (at the level of current and recent polls):

There was also a lot of discussion about the trend for those saying „strongly agree” in the last 20 years, but most of that was short-lived as other respondents started telling us they had noticed it, although not to the same level. It seems like a lot of people have responded that the strong agreement is just a few years old, and that they have often noticed the recent drop.

None of that, however, address the question of whether the model for climate change itself is „settled science” or not. That question is the most interesting one, because it refers not to the subject matter, but to the AGW community, and whether they can be trusted.

As a summary of my own impressions and comments, let me note that there is a real question about whether people believe the scientists, or whether it’s the scientists who are their primary source of information. The question for me is whether the people saying „strongly agree” are actually following the climate science as closely as the scientists would have us believe, or are they being swayed by what the climate scientists say? If the former, the real question is whether they are trustful of the information about which the scientists themselves are confident.

Let’s take a sample from another (less controversial) survey conducted in 2006, using the exact same question about the same climate model, and noting that the results are somewhat identical to the recent one.

The first figure on the right is the response to the question „Do you agree or disagree with these statements about the climate model that is used to predict climate change?” This question refers to the climate models that are part of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) reports, or any for that matter:

The second figure is the number of people who strongly agree that the model is soundly based, and any results it generates are dependable. That is what the IPCC purports to be. On the other hand, the IPCC goes out of its way to assure us that it is, in fact, our best understanding of the climate,
