    I came across this game by sheer chance and I’m so glad I picked it up. It’s not all about killing monsters and exploring dungeons, but more so about the story. Tarnished is a game that takes the games about a young man rising up the ladder of success and finding his place in the world and twists it a little bit. In the game, a young man named Larry dies, and when he wakes up to a different world, he can use the power of the dreams that exist in his world to make a new life. He can either end up going to a dream where he becomes a prince or a duke, or he can end up in a world where his dream fails, and he becomes a warrior who is responsible for the survival of his kinfolk.

    The most compelling part of the game is that it has a multilayered story that you can go back and check out things, in the same way that you might be visiting friends and their stories. Because of that, the game doesn’t seem as driven toward combat and exploration as, say, Fire Emblem.

    Cytoreductive surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy in Peritoneal Metastatic Colon Cancer: A Retrospective Analysis of 14 Patients from Brazilian Clinical Practice.
    Peritoneal metastases (PM) from colorectal cancer are associated with a poor prognosis. Cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is an alternative treatment for patients with isolated PM from colorectal cancer. In this study, we aimed to analyze survival outcomes in patients with PM who underwent cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC at a Brazilian clinic. From January 2010 to May 2014, 14 patients with PM from colorectal cancer underwent cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC. After 6 (IQR 1-15) months of median follow-up, 9 patients were alive. The median survival time was 20 (IQR 8-36) months. Using univariate and multivariate analysis, we have found that patients with no PM peritoneal recurrence (HR=0.004; p=0.009) and patients with no PM extraperitoneal recurrence (HR=0.079; p=0.004) at HIPEC have lower risk of death in the short term. Furthermore, the presence of moderate to poor histological response at the surgical specimen (HR=3.876; p=0.049) and the presence of no residual disease at the surgical specimen (HR=5.274; p=0.001) were significantly associated with increased risk of death in the short term. Patients with no PM peritoneal recurrence and patients with no PM extraperitoneal recurrence at HIPEC have better survival outcomes. Presence of moderate to poor histological response at the surgical specimen and the presence of no residual disease at the surgical specimen were associated with lower risk of death in the short term.10)
