The Elden Ring is a fantasy action RPG that takes place in the Lands Between. The story begins with the rise of the powerful vampire lord Deepen Dark and his allies. To avenge the death of his beloved wife, the vampire lord has set his sights on the Lands Between. By taking on the role of the player character, you will attempt to stop him.

The Lands Between is roughly divided into areas for exploration and combat. As you explore and fight, your own game world will be generated based on your own actions. Exploration areas, such as forests and dungeons, are generated according to the strength of the environment. Fighting areas such as those in which battles with other NPC’s or monsters take place are generated based on the characters you develop or the species of the monsters you fight.

Although battles with other NPC’s and monsters are unavoidable in the game, you can attempt to avoid them altogether by exploring with your party member in an effort to accumulate experience. Aside from battles with monsters, life-threatening challenges will be present in certain areas.

In the game, your quest will be shared with fellow characters in the form of search requests. You can even request for the characters to accompany you, and they will attempt to help you.
