I upgraded from CS 5 to the most recent CC ICS and the file handling has drastically improved. I no longer have to switch copies of the layers and blends whenever I want the most recent version. I like the ability to see when the library was last saved. I am thankful that the file handling improvements were implemented in the download versions.

There are so many things I don’t like in the new CC CS6. I do like a few things, though. One is the ability to constrain metadata tracking in the Photos app. I have several drives of various sizes, all with different metadata setups already, and the older versions of Elements were flooded with duplicates. Also, I am sick of the unnecessary context menus that pop-up when I select files. I moved one of my libraries to my desktop and I now have this annoying pop-up whenever I select a file. I would love it if there was an option to disable this when I was moving files to a USB drive.
As for Lightroom 4.x, I will not be upgrading due to the danger of loosing my old libraries if I upgrade completely. I grabbed the latest CC and download versions of CS and EL, and even downloaded LR4.1 manually so I can easily open all of my libraries if I upgrade later. I would much rather have my current libraries work correctly than have the dangers of continuity when upgrading to a new version.
