These new features will probably take some time to get used to, but I have already found myself using them a lot for crop of tiny files. Once you do get accustomed to it, you will find it a time saver in crop situations.
The second change of note is some overall changes to the Import dialog. Adobe has revamped the gray scale using a richer palette of colors, and has made it a lot more intuitive with a new grid. Importing now also seems a bit faster, in my experience, though you will undoubtedly notice more artifacts. A quick change in the new Develop module lets you use the eyedropper tool to adjust those kinds of colors. This certainly takes some of the guessing, nudging, and back and forth you once had to do to choose the right colors. I can’t help but think, though, that Adobe would be better off not making such a big change. If you are new to the program, it may seem a bit overwhelming. In the end, it likely just gives your grandma a heart attack.

Since the new update, the already well-known Paint Bucket tool has been renamed to the Fill tool. The Paint Bucket tool is still available but is only used with the gradient tool to fill with a solid color. So I more than welcome the new Fill tool.
